Krispy Kreme at Gautrain

International doughnut brand, Krispy Kreme, which recently launched in South Africa, with stores at The Zone in Rosebank and the Sandton Gautrain Station, announced its third branch and launched it on 28 April 2016, a concept store, in Gauteng’s most exciting recent retail development, Mall of Africa.  The brand, owned jointly by Fournews and John and Gerry Brands, is fast fulfilling its promise to deliver at least six ‘melt in your mouth doughnut and premium coffee’ stores before the end of the year.

The mall, located in the Waterfall Estate between Midrand and Sandton, is set to be one of the largest shopping malls on the African continent with a shopping space of 131000m2. It will also boast over 300 shops, and will play host to a large amount of local and international brands, as well as accommodate over 7000 parking bays.

The doughnut chain has already become a firm favourite on the Gauteng food scene. Whichfranchise were lucky enough to be invited to attend the media launch. We saw doughnut lovers flocking early to create memories and share in the joy with Krispy Kreme at the new store, which is situated at shop 1231 on the ground floor.

KrispyKreme Pink DoughnutIt officially opened at 9am on Thursday (28 April) and Krispy Kreme South Africa CEO, Gerry Thomas promised that there will be exciting prizes up for grabs, including limited edition Krispy Kreme t-shirts for the first fifty customers to satisfy a Krispy Kreme craving on opening day.

If you were one of the first one hundred customers to purchase a dozen of our Original Glazed doughnuts on the 28th, Krispy Kree doubled your delight with a second dozen to share with family, friends or colleagues.
