Since starting to franchise their South African developed methods and business model in 1997, Creative Minds® have in their first ten years of operation, already opened over sixty branches in Southern Africa, and are actively pursuing expansion into Africa and Europe.

Creative Minds® is a group of franchised skills training centers, with the current emphasis on basic computer literacy training in a fun and easy way, where they are firmly entrenched in the largest market of all: Families, job seekers, children, teenagers, mothers, middle aged and elderly people who all wants caring and gentle personal tuition. They specialize in people who have difficulty understanding and coping with technology!

Creative Minds® was started, after observing a need for caring and trusted, ground-roots and community based computer training. The founders' background in educational publishing and his specific interest in accessible learning technologies, led him to develop a unique method of dealing with students in a practical, uncomplicated, caring and confidence building way.

Basic courses, including Computer basics, Windows, Word-processing basics, database basics, spreadsheet basics and Internet & e-mail are generally offered. A host of more advanced courses are also available to more advanced students, but still in a personal, friendly and gentle manner! We are also currently developing a small business course at a grassroots level. This will benefit everyone from almost illiterate people to small business operators needing more guidance.

Since the concept has become known, Creative Minds® has become sought after, and is the top franchise in this market. Creative Minds® has sustained an impressive and explosive growth since inception. Creative Minds® offers a unique no-fear, stress-free training method, enabling the students of all ages and all walks of life to become confident users of computers.

Creative Minds® centres specialise in training computer novices, and also offer more advanced courses for office workers, managers, businessmen, etc. Our training method is based on step by step principles using our own world-class training materials.

We do not use traditional classroom or mass-training methods where computer novices get intimidated.

Creative Minds® is represented by over 40 successful Creative Minds® centres operating in South Africa, and has been featured on the covers of small business magazines many times Creative Minds® was also on occasion on the cover of the best Franchises of the year publication.

Creative Minds® is an intensively people orientated business and it is therefore helpful for us to meet you personally, and discuss the matters that are unique to your situation.

Training and Support:

LICENSE HOLDER TRAINING:
You will receive complete software and business training at our training centre in Cape Town, for 2½ to 3 weeks, depending on your specific needs. The aim of this training is to enable you to run a successful training centre.

The training consists of the following aspects:

• Complete Computer literacy training for license holders that are not skilled in computer use.
• Student curriculum
• Software training on all courses offered
• Methodology and our training method
• Telephone etiquette
• Marketing strategy and schedule
• Price structure
• Administration of a Creative Minds® centre.
• Practical hands-on training in a working Creative Minds® Test Centre
• Hardware training (troubleshooting, network, printing, etc)
• Pastel Accreditation requirements and assessments
• Information on SETA accreditation and requirements

A complete Operations Manual and Instructor’s Certificate will be supplied upon completion of your initial training.

You can be re-trained in any facet of our program for free within six months of the initial training.

The cost of your initial training is included in your investment, except for lodgings, meals and transport, which can be arranged by us for your account.

NO ROYALTIES ON MONTHLY TURNOVER PAYABLE!

Creative Minds® Option Micro: Rural villages only.
Cost: R 100 000 upfront + monthly license renewal fee at R 1 000 per month. (VAT excl)

Includes:

• Microsoft software package licenses prepaid for one year
• Complete software training and training in the use of the Creative Minds® training material
• Train the Trainer course
• Business training and support
• Complete Operational Manual
• Complete set of Creative Minds® Training notes in electronic form.
• Initial Creative Minds® Marketing Package: 20 000 marketing flyers, rulers, pens and other Creative Minds® promotional items
• Registration as an Authorized Pastel Training Centre (Terms and Conditions apply)
• Pastel software training to Advanced Level and Pastel Certified Trainer course
• Pastel Authorized Training Centre fees prepaid for one year
• Hardware equipment and signage can be arranged at additional cost
• Recommended starting hardware for this option is at least 3 computers, network, printer and internet connection. Cost approximately R 20 000
• Note: you can set up as many computers as you wish in one centre!

Creative Minds® Option A: Small rural towns only.
Cost: R 150 000 upfront + monthly license renewal fee at R 1 800 per month. (VAT excl)

Includes:

• Microsoft software package licenses prepaid for one year
• Complete software training and training in the use of the Creative Minds® training material.
• Train the Trainer course.
• Business training and support
• Complete Operational Manual.
• Complete set of Creative Minds® Training notes in electronic form.
